Cancelling policy:     at least 24 hours before arrival

Preferential rates: children under 6 years of age are free

                                   children between 6 and 14 years of age pay half of the full price

                                   children above 14 are pay full price

Location and general information:

City Hostel Buda is a youth hostel on Buda side of the city, in the greenbelt area on Gellért Hill in Szüret Street, not too far away from the breath-taking castle. Móricz Zsigmond Square is nearby with a number of great pubs and restaurants.

Szüret Street opens from Villányi street where the tram line 61 operates. Móricz Zsigmond Square is only some minutes away with very good public transport connections (with stop of several tram and bus lines), from where the inner city can be reached within a few minutes as well. Free parking is possible in the street.

We offer 161 private rooms in a recently renovated building – 5 single, 152 double, 4 triple rooms are available. Each room has a shower, but the toilet is on the corridor. The rooms are ideal for 1 to 3 people. On each floor you have the possibility to use a well-equipped kitchen and a room for washing and ironing. The hostel has a community room as well with cable-TV and internet access. We run a 24-hour reception with tourist desk and luggage room.

Our hostel is the best choice for backpackers, budget travellers, ideal for families and for tourists on city visit with pets; practically for everybody visiting for a few days. Transfer service for 22 Euro/car for maximum 4 persons per car/one way. Please contact us if you wish to book the transfer.

Public transport:

From the airport: Take Bus 200 from the airport to the last stop Kőbánya-Kispest. From there take the underground blue line (Metro-M3) to Ferenc körút, change to tram 6 there and go to Móricz Zsigmond körtér, then take bus number 27 until Ménesi út.  

From Nyugati train station: Take tram 6 until Móricz Zsigmond körtér and then take bus number 27 until Ménesi út.

Déli or Keleti train station: Take the underground red line (Metro-M2) to Blaha Lujza tér, and from there change to tram 6 until Móricz Zsigmond körtér and then take bus number 27 until Ménesi út.
